Introduction
What Bytstack is, who it's for, and how deploys move from git push to a live Node app.
Bytstack is a Platform-as-a-Service for Node.js teams. Point it at a GitHub repository and it handles builds, containers, Postgres, domains, SSL, previews, workers, and cron — without turning you into a Kubernetes expert.
Two planes make up the product:
- Control plane — accounts, workspaces, projects, deploys, billing, and the dashboard/CLI.
- Data plane — your web services, workers, cron jobs, static sites, managed databases, and managed Redis running in the cluster.
Who it's for
- Solo developers shipping Node APIs and Next.js apps
- Teams that want git push → live URL with Postgres and custom domains in one place
- Anyone who prefers long-running containers over stitching together five vendors
You do not need to write Docker Compose by hand or manage ingress YAML. Bytstack detects common Node stacks and applies sensible defaults you can override.
