Dashboard overview
Navigate workspaces, Pipeline, Variables, and operate deploys from the web UI.
The dashboard is the primary control surface for Bytstack.
Home & navigation
- Home — recent activity across the active workspace
- New / Import — connect GitHub and create services
- Deployments — cross-project deploy history
- Settings — members, GitHub, custom alert rules, customer OTLP tracing, billing
Use the workspace switcher in the shell to change organizations (billing/team — not a deployment stage).
Project tabs
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Overview / Pipeline | With deployment environments on: one column per stage (services, hosts, Promote). Otherwise a flat service list. |
| Variables | Shared project keys (matrix across environments when the feature is on). Formerly labeled “Environment.” |
| Databases | Managed Postgres for the active environment |
| Domains | Custom hosts, verification, routes, stage bindings |
Environment switcher
The project header switcher selects the active deployment environment (?environment={slug}; remembered per project). Use Manage environments for Duplicate, protect, delete (non-production), and preview-base. Free plans stay on production only — Duplicate shows an upgrade CTA when over quota.
Service tabs
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Overview | Status, URL, deployments, rollback, preview badges, sibling jump (Open in Staging/Production) |
| Metrics | CPU, memory, restarts, ingress request rate/p99 |
| Logs | Build and runtime streams |
| Variables | Service overrides for this instance’s environment |
Members & access
Invite teammates from workspace settings. Roles control who can deploy, manage billing, or read-only view resources. Promote into production and protected-env secrets require owner/admin. Keep restricted roles at least privilege until you grant specific permissions.
Custom CPU, restart, and health rules live under Settings → Alerts (optionally scoped to an environment). Details: Alerts and metrics.
